A Word About Online Safety

Student safety and security are at the forefront of the devices we provide.  We have contracted with Securly to provide filtered content, monitor student activity, and allow teachers to see what the students are doing on their Chromebooks in class, whether remotely or in person.  Being able to monitor student activity allows our teachers to send out a URL to all students at once, highlight a single Chromebook to showcase a student's work, or provide assessments at once.  But, for all we strive to do, we recognize that there is no substitute for parent involvement in the proper use of technology.  Students, especially young ones, need parental supervision while learning to be responsible digital citizens. Simple decisions like students doing their online work in the presence of adults helps keep our students safe.
