Welcome to Union Colony Elementary (UCES) –come on inside! We’d like to give you a picture tour of the school we love and all the resources we offer our K-5 students at our tuition-free charter school in Greeley.

Our community is what makes us special. There’s always a warm smile to greet you upon arrival. Our small size means everyone knows your name.

From Kindergarten to 5th grade, classrooms at our small school are equipped with everything a child needs to flourish. Tech, books, curriculum resources, and caring teachers make UCES an enriching experience for every student. 

Upper elementary students at UCES work independently at computers. The students share large tables and are sitting on stools. There is a large screen with information and a teacher works in a corner of the classroom with a student.

In the upper elementary grades, students learn the skills to become independent learners while still receiving small group instruction with a certified teacher. 

The media center at Union Colony Elementary School contains comfortable, durable furniture, small amphitheater-style seating for group instruction and a large tv mounted on the wall.

Our newly renovated library and media center is one of our favorite places to gather. We’ve filled it with child-friendly, durable and comfy furniture that invites students to sit down and enjoy a good book.

The newly renovated Union Colony Elementary School library is filled with shelves, books, and comfortable children’s seating.

And speaking of books, our library shelves are filled with books for students to borrow. All K-5 students at Union Colony Elementary have a weekly class in our library and media center.

Students at Union Colony Elementary School play games in a large school gymnasium. There is a wood floor painted with lines, basketball hoops and a variety of equipment available.

Students love our physical education program, taught by certified PE teachers in our spacious gymnasium, that is not only fun but also prepares students for a lifetime of fitness and movement with weekly classes.

The cafeteria at Union Colony Elementary School contains many long tables with benches and a counter with a staff member preparing food.

All Union Colony Elementary students eat lunch in our cafeteria where they are served a hot meal prepared by our caring staff. After school hours, our cafeteria doubles as a space for our before and after-school care program. We partner with ABC to offer fun and learning in a safe environment from as early as 6:15 a.m. and after dismissal until 6:15 p.m.

A Union Colony Elementary School staff member supports students to build small wooden structures at a table in the school’s new outdoor learning center. The students are wearing brightly colored smocks and using hammers, nails and safety goggles.

The outdoor learning center at Union Colony Elementary is the newest addition to our small K-5 charter school. Open to the outdoors, this multi-purpose classroom provides a space for students and teachers to explore and discover. We love taking advantage of great weather days and notice that the fresh air is motivating and stimulating to young brains.

And finally, no school is complete without a playground for students to play, socialize, move and get some energy out. Our playground provides ample, safe space for students to get outside and have fun.
